What would be awesome is search history. I would be floored if this thing could provide search history. I visit here almost daily and granted most searches end up as purchases and new social accounts I tend to want to reference past searches where I didn't follow through and may have forgot the terms used.
I think to make it better for you guys and the user is to add an additional tab on a results page that offers the option to "save" the search.
How many historical searches were you hoping to see?
Many of the domains you have a available are not available, such as web.com or the facebook account interface8 votes
We’re actively adding new TLDs to our system. .COM.AU will be included over the next couple of weeks.
The css is responsive and that's awesome but the ajax is extremely unresponsive. Using the iPhone + namevine when an idea hits me is my first go to companion for branding an the go.
This is not an idea so such as it's feedback for a better UX on mobile7 votes
Suggestions are probably bogging down the iphone searches, I’m planning on hiding these unless they’re specifically needed, so there should be a massive speedup on mobile.
There are lot of social networks missing like linkedin, crokes.com , instagram, hi5 and many more add them

To avoid cluttering the site, I’m hesitant to add more than couple of additional lookups. Instagram and LinkedIn are the most likely, along with potentially Wordpress.
Any plans on bringing the new TLD's to Namevine? (like .technology, .photography, .guru, etc.)4 votes
Att a filter please like 2 letter etc3 votes
Any chance of an API/wordpress plugin?
I am about to set up a Hosting business and would love to have this great functionality incorporated into my WP site.
Thanks and keep up the good work.3 votes
I have been planning to build a Namevine widget, it would involve simply adding one line of HTML on to your site.
Which domain extensions and social networks are important for you to offer on your site?
As for API access, that’s a premium service, I’ll email you to discuss.

Data not accurate at all2 votes
Thanks for the feedback. I’m really sorry your results were inaccurate.
In about 5% of cases domain lookups are inaccurate, this is the price that is paid for making the search so fast. Of course when you click through to your favorite registrar, it’ll do a full check to ensure availability.
Facebook page availability is also sometimes a problem, it’s impossible to get 100% accuracy there for your search, but Namevine does the best job out of any comparable service.
There are some more details on the Namevine “about” page: http://blog.namevine.com/about/
If you’re willing to share your searches, I can update Namevine to be smarter about those results. Please email if you’d like to. I understand if you want to keep your searches confidential.

I type in so many names. And write them down separately on a pice of paper. It would be nice if the site could save these into categories of some sort.2 votes
...as I see one can pick a username there too. (The biggest advantage of Vimeo over Youtube is the ability to overwrite an already uploaded video with an updated/redacted version.)1 vote
Vimeo is a great suggestion as well. I’m thinking in order to avoid overwhelming a user I’d segment the possible account lookups into various categories like: social networks, video sites, etc.
Thanks! Mike / Namevine
A check box by each service like twitter where searched name is available to register and submit button next page should list their sign up pages. When you enter name it should enter name in all forms and so forth. You can charge a fee for using this service. If you explain effectively what the service is going to offer people will buy it.1 vote
I’ll take a look at what’s involved here. I agree that it’d be great to have Soundcloud support.

Every domain that I have found on here has already been taken when I go to register it? Are the names that are displayed not checked to see if they are available first?1 vote
There is a slight chance that some registered names are shown as available. I describe it here (http://blog.namevine.com/about) under “Why Does Namevine Tell Me a Domain or Social Media Account is Available, But It Is Really Unavailable?”
If you’d like me to look closer to your specific searches please reply to this via your email (you should receive this response as an email).
Thanks, Mike / Namevine
why a .com domain name is still showing as 'available' when I just bought it? Thanks ...1 vote
I guess this is a very tricky one to code but it matters.
For example: if I choose "Mister Test" and all the account names are free (such as twitter.com/MisterTest www.MisterTest.com etc.) but there is still a musician called Mister Test on Spotify, or a Youtube User called Mister Test (with another User ID), then it might still not be practical to register the name.1 vote
While I agree that this may be worthwhile, it’d be tough to achieve using Namevine’s update-as-you-type system.
Also, my feeling is that whoever has the actual vanity URL/username stands a better chance at branding more effectively on whatever social media platform they’re using.
However, I’d like to understand your use case a little better so I’ll follow up with an email shortly.

So cool site, and I want to know if you have an username availability check API?
